Order Reviews Christopher (Chris) James has been chasing trains and researching railroad history since his early teens. He holds a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from Colorado College and a Masters of Education degree in Educational Technology from Utah State University. He re-discovered Leadville when he served on the faculty of Colorado Mountain College’s Leadville campus for five years. This book is the result of a seven-year project to assemble and document the history of the Leadville’s railroads and their role in the history of the town and the State of Colorado. When not at his home in northern New Mexico, you may find him hiking old railroad grades around Leadville with his wife Jan. They both still love Leadville.
